The purpose of Leather Armor is the same as that of all armours: to decrease damage on weapon hits by increasing health. It is the bottom-tier armor, providing an increase of (please provide statistics) in health. Like other armors, it is a clothing-type and thus can be dyed. This is generally considered the weakest armor, but the most basic to make.
